Expo2010,shanghai ,China, is a successful world Expo. As the past ones, it held, not only provide the participating countries an international display of their culture and development, but also is a brilliant chance for contemporary architecture to share their idea and works. As many people have commented , this Expo is a“Architecture Carnival”. It unite the latest developments and research results of the world architecture.The world Expo pavilion is a symbol of national culture and technology. And for visitors, it is the various exterior forms of the pavilions, leaving them the first and most impressive impressions.Therefore, this paper takes exterior form of pavilions of world Expo2010 shanghai as the object of study, discussed on its expression and design methods, summed up several prominent characteristics of the this expo pavilion`s exterior form design, then basic on that conduct a in-depth and detailed analysis, in order to propose suitable future expression of design for the architectural morphology.The basic content includes: Chapter I is the introduction, elaborated the researching background, the goal, the significance, the objects and the methods, and the narration and the analysis of the domestic and foreign relating researches. Chapter 2 describes the basic concept and theory related, including architectural form as well as external form, definition of skin and its component elements, construction mode. Chapter 3 is the summary of exterior form of pavilions of world Expo 2010 shanghai. Premised on the basic situation of Expo2010 and the features of world Expo architecture, combined with the last chapter content , this chapter summarizes the outstanding characteristics of Expo2010`s pavilions ,followed by preliminary classifications.
