Abstract


Feminist film is defined by the traditional theory based on the characteristics of women , female narrative theme , and as the main audience target female form of literary expression . However, this film types little male culture led social status , the results are mixed . In this paper, from the perspective of feminist theory to explore female film from the United States since the 1960s . Feminist film vividly demonstrated the characteristics of women , breaking the traditional male - dominated Hollywood movie narrative form , create a strong, independent , successful career woman image , fully demonstrated the feminist cultural identity for women the doctrine study provides good text , and not only to place women in the field of cinema , but also made ??important contributions to the advancement of women . Thesis explain feminist theory and feminist film theory in general , and then analyze the influential feminist film theory , pointing out that the most significant feature of feminist film in the United States since 1960s , around the topic of women to start the story narrative select female protagonist for the film , in order to win the women's status for the shooting purpose . On the basis of this analysis , the paper comments on the U.S. feminist film , stressed that the development of feminist film gradually break the male-dominated cultural value system , gradually collapse of the patriarchal social system , the fight for equality and freedom for women the stage of history . The paper also pointed out that the acts of violence against women in a positive sense , while feminist film also have a negative impact , so the use of reasonable expression and techniques to show women culture is the key to solve this problem .
