Abstract

Traditional interpretation theory is that the emphasis on the translation of the meaning (meaning-based interpreting) interpretation dominant emphasis on forms of translation (form-based interpreting) accounted for the secondary position . Its performance in the target language : higher lexical similarity , low vocabulary dissimilarity in the target language and the source language . With both translation corresponding cognitive processes are Deverbalization1 and Transcoding2 . Deverbalization earliest paraphrase school , the school of that interpretation activities Deverbalization the main process , Transcoding as a secondary process . The theory of Deverbalization , has been widely used in the practice and teaching of professional interpreters . Deverbalization interpreters can often get rid of the shackles of the source language , output and accurate authentic the target target language . However , less empirical research for Deverbalization , and often for the European language portfolio , almost no empirical research portfolio of language . Therefore, we try to learn from and modify Helle V. Dam Professor analytical methods used in the relevant empirical research , quantitative analysis of the distribution of lexical similarity and dissimilarity between the source language and target language . In this paper, a comparative analysis of the source language and the target language of the four subjects , measured the specific proportion of the vocabulary similarity and dissimilarity . The experimental results show that the the four subjects target language mainly the vocabulary similarity ( 85% ) , while the lexical dissimilarity of only 15% . In addition , the results also show that the negative correlation vocabulary dissimilarity and correct translation . This result is consistent with the experimental results Helle V. Dam , inconsistent with the traditional Deverbalization hypothesis . The analysis of the experimental method is to learn and modify Helle V. Dam analysis method - smaller units of measurement and the measurement object , deleting a quantitative analysis of the intermediate links , so that the measurement results more accurate . So we might be able to provide some experimental evidence for interpreting studies in Britain and into . Of course, the analysis method of this experiment has some shortcomings , to the latecomers can make up for these deficiencies , the introduction of some new analysis dimension , for example, by using the timeline , analysis of the EVS ( target language and the source language of the time difference ) on Deverbalization ; through understand the interpreter specific reasons Deverbalization by interviews with subjects after the experiment .
