Abstract


When Singapore autonomied ,its domestic political was notstable,and its foreign environment was unfavorable too. In order to makesingapore survive in the complex and changeable environment, singaporegovernment taked many measures to promote national stability anddevelopment.Political culture-building is an important aspect ofnation-building in singapore,the People’s Action Party attaches greatimportance to it.It plays an important role at the aspects of nationalunity,stability,order,prosperity and progress:in politics,it makes domesticpolitical stability,the government is clean、pragmatic、efficient and doall for people;economically,it makes the Singapore nation-economy veryprosperous by the free and open policies;in social, it makes security andstability of social order、good society、various ethnic and religiousfriendly to each other and the people have a great identity and sense ofbelonging to their country.The eastern tradition followed by Singapore inthe construction of political culture is consistent with the actual situationin singapore,it is considered a key factor in the success of Singapore bypeople.It is an important reference for the development of Asian countries.We should study and learn the experiences of the construction of politicalculture of Singapore.
