Abstract


With the popularization of higher education and the turmoil of the global financial market, in recent years, graduates from colleges are facing unemployment on an unprecedented scale. Unreasonable course design, immature talent training mode, the imperfect job market, and the graduates’overestimation of their own prospects all intensify the social contradiction. Therefore, study on graduates’employment becomes of great urgency.It’s obvious we need approach this case from the role of government, society, universities and graduates, but meanwhile, the author combines the current condition of our country with the successful graduates’employment experience from America, Britain, and Japan, and finally figures out a way dealing with the employment difficulties.This paper is divided into five chapters. Chapter1 is the introduction, including the background and significance of this topic, source of the quotations, the theory, the method, the primary coverage and the points of innovation. Chapter2 is theoretical analysis of graduates’employment under the background of popularization of higher education. Chapter3 introduces how the foreign countries like America, Britain and Japan successfully deal with the employment problem of graduates. Chapter4 analyzes the predicament of graduates’employment and the cause of it through the new characteristics of graduates’employment and investigations aiming at the current situation. Chapter5 aims at combining the current situation of our country with the enlightenment from the foreign countries’experience and finally figures out the ultimate solution.The main research results and points of innovation of this paper are embodied in the following 3 aspects: 1. This paper emphasizes the importance of encouraging graduates to start up business while paying enough attention to help graduates from rural areas to be employed. 2. This paper points out that employment competence is the core competitiveness based on the theory of core competitiveness. 3. The author integrates with practice to solve this problem through the protracted experience of college students’management and long term observation and study.
