Abstract

With the development of the situation in the international oil, the oil industry has reached unprecedented competition. In order to win the survival and development, many local oil companies have taken the way of mergers and acquisitions to achieve the expansion of the business. Despite the large-scale mergers and acquisitions in the oil industry has been booming, but the post-merger performance improvement is not satisfactory. Mergers and acquisitions faces many factors, not all mergers and acquisitions can eventually enhance the performance of enterprise. M \u0026 A motive M \u0026 A performance improvement is most significant. M \u0026 A different motivation, performance changes. In this paper, the Chinese listed oil companies, local mergers and acquisitions for the study of objects. First, in describing the concept of mergers and acquisitions on the basis of generally discusses the research status of domestic and international mergers and acquisitions motivation and corporate M \u0026 A performance theory. Second, analysis of listed petroleum industry mergers and acquisitions, and classified summary drawn three M \u0026 A motive: the scale of mergers and acquisitions, functional acquisitions and industry merger. Again, the sampling occurred during 1998-2008 listed oil companies merger cases, the use of factor score analysis, the establishment of a comprehensive score function model, compare and scale mergers and acquisitions, functional mergers and acquisitions, industry type M \u0026 three acquisitions motives guide changes before and after the performance under M \u0026 obtained ex post type of scale mergers and acquisitions, and industry mergers and acquisitions both motivation-oriented M \u0026 overall performance improved functional performance due under the M \u0026 M \u0026 A action there will be a certain degree of volatility . Finally, some conclusions in the topics of the research process are analyzed to provide some help to improve M \u0026 A performance inspired wave of oil industry mergers and acquisitions, but also for our listing. The biggest difference is that past acquisition-related research: first, the local mergers and acquisitions of listed oil companies in China as the research object. Even the study of oil industry mergers and acquisitions are based overseas mergers and acquisitions as the research object, the local oil industry M \u0026 A Research nobody cares. Second, based on the different acquisitions move the local M \u0026 A performance of listed oil companies. On M \u0026 A performance, there is no lack, but different Perspectives in the Study also lead to the conclusions of the study are inconsistent and even contradictory, in this article from the nature of the mergers and acquisitions that M \u0026 A action due to the angle to study M \u0026 A performance, proposed scale type, function type, industry type three dynamic due and analysis of different motivation lead to performance changes are a significant feature of this paper.
