Abstract


With the plastic products widely used in everyday items, people demand for plastic products is also growing on the plastic mold design and manufacturing requirements are also increasing. How to improve the quality of mold design and shorten design cycles is the current important task facing the injection molding industry. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out automated, intelligent research based Mold Design. It is the only way to solve many problems. For example, mold design of high input costs, low efficiency design and so on.On the analysis of the injection mould design process, this paper developed injection mold expert system based on knowledge ,on the basis of Pro/TOOLKIT second development tools of Pro/E and visual language C + +, Access. The system contains four major functional modules. Including product design, molded part design, standard mold base design, structural component design. Create the database and knowledge base. According to the materials, injection molding machine and design parameters in the mold design process to design the database and knowledge base. It contains mold design rules, design experience and so on. It effectively to achieve the injection mold design automation and intelligence. In order to improve design efficiency, the system is designed to drive parametric mold base and forming feature library. Finally, plastic cups as an example, verify the reliability and convenience of system design.IMICAD provides a convenient and effective platform for the design of injection mold design. In order to make the system tend to improve and practical, the system also designed an open interface.With the continuous improvement of design and use .Eventually, the system tend to more practical and convenient. At the same time the design and implementation method of system has some reference and guidance for research and development of other mold CAD system.
