Abstract


The semantics of the words corresponding to the concept represented by the word. Most researchers agree with this point of view: the concept of different types of features (such as differences in characteristics and common features); these concepts through a variety of relationships between the characteristics connected to each other to form a complex semantic network. Semantic processing is how people characterize the concept of semantic memory characterization and extraction process. Domestic and foreign researchers from different angles many semantic model theory, examines the characteristics of organizational phenomena, such as the concept of semantic distance effect, typical effects and characteristics of differential effects, trying to explain and explore the psychological processes of semantic processing and influencing factors. For example, the hierarchical network model, the theory of conceptual structure and links to attract network model. However, due to the complexity of the language, but also for the means and methods of the research in this area is still relatively simple, basically still mainly a reaction time paradigm. Today the concept of semantic processing research a fruitful conclusion is not uniform. Currently, the eye movement experimental method has been widely used in the field of psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, linguistics and medicine. As an effective means of a real-time process, the eye movement experiment in the field of visual perception research, especially in reading research plays an important role, and made a series of remarkable fruitful. With the development and improvement of psychological research technology, integration thinking of increasing attention in the study of psychology. Psychology researchers hope to integrate research ideas through the use of multi-paradigm, multi-convergence in the field of operation in order to the multidimensional study the specific psychological phenomenon. Therefore, this study college students as subjects, the binding reaction paradigm and eye movement research techniques, designed two experiments to explore the Chinese concept features two perspectives from the offline processing and online processing characteristics of semantic processing. The first experiment investigated whether Chinese conceptual differences in semantic processing characteristics than common feature can be activated faster. 2 (conceptual categories: biological and non-biological) × 2 (feature type: differences in characteristics and common features of experiment) × 2 (SOA: 300 ms, 1200 ms) three-factor mixed design. The dependent variables were tested to characterize the concept of reaction time and error rates. Experiment 2 investigated the activation characteristics of Chinese conceptual differences and common features of semantic processing of eye movement behavior whether there are differences as well as the corresponding features. 2 (conceptual categories: biological and non-biological) × 2 (feature type: differences in characteristics and common features of experiment) × 2 (SOA: 300 ms, 1200 ms) three-factor mixed design.
