Abstract


The rapid development of the Internet , the network has become an important medium for news dissemination . Meanwhile , the global network news , timeliness , massive and diversity of features to attract more and more people choose to read the network news , the networks become a new channel for people to obtain news information . Network news headlines in the network for new forms of new media under the title , its most important feature is presented in the form of the title in the network page , expand its news content need to rely on readers click on the title link . Thus, relative to the other components of the network news , the title is particularly critical. The development of the Internet , but also to promote the cross- cultural exchange of Chinese and Western through a lot of news and information , people can be exposed to different Chinese and Western language features and cultural differences . News translation of the title is the connection between Chinese and Western cross - cultural bridges . This paper attempts to use the language of Treviso Thelen adaptation theory to study the network news headlines English translation . According to conform to the theory , the use of the language is based on the language of internal and external reasons , a different level of consciousness constantly make a language selection process . Adaptation theory to analyze the use of language from four perspectives , Contextual Correlates of Adaptability , language structure adapt dynamically to conform to and comply with the degree of awareness of the process . To be able to better the English translation of the title of the network news , the comparative study of the Sino-British headlines . Therefore, the First Sino-British headlines for comparative analysis. Translation practice language structures specific to differentiate into three levels of vocabulary, grammar , and rhetoric , the context is divided into two aspects of the social world and the psychological world . The network news headlines English translation, the translator to conform to the language structure of the target language readers and their social world and the psychological world .
