Abstract

As a branch of linguistics emerging critical discourse analysis much attention of scholars since its birth in the 1970s. The public discourse, including news discourse, official documents, political speeches, and has always been critical discourse analysis of interest where the main object of study. Which news discourse as one of the most common public discourse in modern society, people understand the community, an important way of access to information, with a broad impact on people's lives. U.S. media by virtue of its enormous influence in the international spread of its international coverage plays a very important role in shaping a country's image and dissemination. Therefore, the U.S. media reported the study will contribute to greater understanding and objective evaluation of the \In view of the previous studies mainly focused on the political news, while the seemingly objective economic news rarely cares, this article will be the U.S. media as the object of the study of critical discourse analysis of China's economic reports. In this study, the use of statistics EBSCO database tools \Quantitative research analysis of two newspapers reported characteristics of both content and media attitudes; qualitative research in accordance with the the Fairclough 3D discourse analysis mode, Halliday's systemic functional grammar as a linguistic basis and analysis tools, news reports seen as text analysis, discursive practice and social practice continuum. Visits; language feature of the news reports in the text level, from the angle of transitivity and vocabulary classification at the level of discourse practice, in the level of social practice, and through a reproducible modality and discourse analysis study of news discourse intertextuality; specific political, historical and cultural background to explain the choice of text level and discourse level, reveals the ideological meaning behind the news discourse. The study found that the economic news is not actually think completely objective coverage, it also can be used as a carrier of the power elite ideology. \image. Ideological differences with the political, economic, cultural and other fields between China and the United States are inextricably linked. Results on foreign language teaching and journalism have some inspiration. For the foreign language classroom, the teaching of the theory of critical discourse analysis, should be conducted in order to raise learners' awareness of critical reading. Chinese journalists should enhance cultural awareness and a profound understanding of the cultural values ??of national differences, reported China to foreigners loved, to foster a positive image of China. This paper is divided into five chapters. The first chapter The Introduction briefly introduces the research background, research problem, research purpose and significance of the research methods and thesis framework.
