As a typical representative of the Chinese traditional sports, local boxing has been absored into martial arts class teaching by some colleges and universities. Walk into a high school; it has become an important part of physical education. It is performed with the teaching form and campus literature evening party, large party of the foundation lesson or the options lesson of the form become the university athletics teaching and campus cultural importance to constitute part, this satisfied the student’s personality request, and biggest raised an university student traditional cultural understand is to the race and be advantageous to strengthening race proud of feeling and raise a student comprehensive character, train consciousness of students for "life athletics", "healthy athletics".According to the relevant guidelines of《course teaching instruction outline》, Wushu Teachers and students of 17 colleges in Shanxi Province were researched for this text, adopt the cultural heritage data method, questionnaire survey and expert interview method, Mathematical Statistics method and logic analysis method, grow cognition, content of course, teaching target, teaching method to the place boxing of the martial arts options lesson and investigate to carry on survey and research with problems, such as evaluation and place device...etc. Its conclusion is as follows:1. There are four colleges setting up a local boxing to grow teaching in the martial arts options lesson teaching in 17 colleges in Shanxi province currently, rest 13 colleges contain the intention to set up a local boxing to grow teaching. In addition, have three colleges don’t develop the martial arts options lesson teaching. 2. Increase a local boxing in the martial arts elective classes, enriched a content of course, be advantageous to raise the student studies martial arts of interest. Pass to study a place boxing to grow, the history culture, humanities customs of the region not only learned the technical ability, skill of martial arts, but also still understand, had deeper understanding to the traditional martial arts.3. The students enrolled in the local boxing use of the cold, the summer period, learned martial arts to teach his hometown friends and family the same love of martial arts, virtually become a dissemination of traditional martial arts, especially those rare places an effective way to boxing.4. Most of the institutions of the local boxing course objectives more clearly, but the goal of teaching the students lack of knowledge, and teaching and the technical emphasis on the neglect of teaching the theory5. The martial arts teacher’s troops be young, majority of martial arts teachers can not teach a local boxing. Basic education teachers are graduate or above, grade level are quite different, smaller proportion of senior professional titles, and Professor of the local boxing teachers have a larger proportion of senior professional titles. Wushu class teachers, especially young teachers, research ability and teaching methods are improved.6. Local boxing loved by the students, some students after school hours to participate actively in school martial arts club activities and hope it can become a lifelong sport. Most students want to study local boxing or traditional wushu.7. Local boxing’space and equipment are essential to meet the teaching needs, but most are with other sports venues, there is no specific place of martial arts.
