Abstract


Every point in volleyball games is not only a simple aggregation of all kinds of techniques and tactics. There are interactions between the techniques and the tactics, and they form complex structure through this interaction. Moreover, every point can be described as an integrated system. This research combines with serious observation on the videos of volleyball games, and proposes the concept of fundamental athletic system of volleyball games through collecting and coordinating the existing research results. The so-called fundamental athletic system of volleyball games, means that in every point of the volleyball game, the both sides should form an integrated whole which connect and interact with each other through offensive and defensive organization according to the volleyball game rules. This study analyzes and researches the elements, the structure, the basic functions and the environmental factors of the fundamental athletic system of volleyball games by using structural analysis, mathematical statistics and logical analysis, and leads to the following conclusions:Firstly, according to the difference of the end stages, can divide the fundamental athletic system into three kinds: serve athletic system, first attack athletic system and defense and counter-attack athletic system. Among the whole competitive process of volleyball games, the first attack athletic system takes the highest proportion, followed by defense and counter-attack athletic system, while the serve athletic system takes the lowest proportion.Secondly, the elements of the fundamental athletic system of the volleyball games can be divided into three parts: (1) the offensive elements: mainly includes serve, first attack, defense and counter attack; (2) the defensive elements: mainly includes first pass, block, back-row defense and attack protection; (3) the organizational elements: only includes a basic element, the second pass.Thirdly, the fundamental athletic system of volleyball games includes three subsystems: the serve system, the offense system and the defense system. The three subsystems interact and compose the basic framework of the fundamental athletic system of volleyball game, and start with serve system, then enter into the conversion phase for the offense system and defense system.Fourthly, there is obvious relationship between the fundamental athletic system of volleyball games and the external environment, and they achieve the impact on each other through exchanging various information. There are two environmental elements which affect the fundamental athletic system: the direct element and the indirect element.Fifthly, the functions of the fundamental athletic system of volleyball games mainly includes: to promote the development of the games, to determine the victory or defeat and to accommodate the pace of the games.
