Abstract


Human Capital, as a new element in modern human capital theory, has been introduced into the economic growth. It emphasizes that the investment and accumulation of the human capital play an essential role in developing economy. There is a mutual relationship existing between the human capital investment and rural economic growth. That is, human capital investment is the source that contributes to achieve long-term stable economic growth in those areas.The article analyses the mechanism of the above influence in terms of the theory and the model, which argues the reason for such phenomenon is that human capital has two defining features, they are element function and efficiency function, Through the empirical analysis of data collected in Gaoling County, Xi’an, Shaanxi from the year of 1999 to 2009, it illustrates the mechanism and path of the economic growth and summarizes the model. At the end of the article, some suggetions are proposed.
