With the arrival of the consumer society , consumption is increasingly becoming the dominant social life and production of power and goals , consumption has become popular in society . In material living standards improved significantly at the same time , people's consumption level and consumption concept has also undergone a corresponding change for human consumption is not only the value of goods , but also pay more attention to commodities demonstrated symbolic value . In this thesis, reference symbols Baudrillard consumption theory , through questionnaires and interviews of cases of combining research methods, select Xi'an youth into the marriage age of marriage for the survey , analysis stage urban youth in the consumer content , consumer psychology and consumer changing attitudes . Through this study found that: In consumer culture dominated city, urban youth spending more expressive means marriage , people's consumption concept and consumer behavior is becoming a personal identity, status and prestige based on the evaluation ; constantly in popular culture driven by young married symbolic consumer behavior has become more evident , leading to a wedding nowadays high consumption , personal consumption , extravagant consumption and over-consumption phenomenon. Thesis that, with the process of modernization and social transformation and development of Xi'an urban youth consumption of marriage has emerged in the consumption of traditional cultural characteristics of different social , symbolic marriage of consumer spending is increasingly evident. In the actual wedding consumption , the existence of rivalries consumer phenomenon, and the marriage consumption of different income , different levels of education groups showed differences in consumption status symbols feature higher income groups tend to consume more as symbols obvious, the higher the level of education the more likely groups of emotional consumption choices, often high income and high levels of education have higher consumption group identity . Overall, however, people have realized the marriage unnecessary luxury consumption , comparisons and waste. Marriage must be a simple and affordable consumer rational consumption concept .
