Abstract


On research of complex and electrically large shipborne platforms,the analysis of radiation characteristics of antennas and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) of multiple-antenna system has been a difficult issue in electromagnetic engineering area.In addition,in fields of high performance antenna design,radar stealth and anti-stealth technology research,radar system design and radar target identification and modem electric systems’EMC analysis,it is necessary to simulate the electromagnetic characteristics of some electrically large objects which are composite of complex structures.To fulfill these engineering requirements,the author selects the following as the investigating objects:the electromagnetic scattering and radiation problems of electrically large complex metallic structures and the EMC analysis of multiple-antenna system on electrically large platforms,which aims at efficiently modeling and fast computing the EM characteristics of electrically large complex structures,and finally solving some difficult engineering problems.The increasingly frequent application of the Engineering needs highly speed and efficiency. The traditional method of moment (MOM) needs very long time to analyze the electromagnetic scattering of electrically large targets, which can’t meet the needs of the actual project. It becomes the most urgent problem to analyze the electromagnetic compatibility of shipborne communication system fast and accurately. Some work of the study of the fast algorithms-Fast Multipole Method (FMM) for analysis of electromagnetic compatibility has been done in this paper.Firstly, the basic principles of MOM are reviewed, including the selection of integral equations, the choice of basis function and weight function, the solution of matrix equation and so on.Secondly, the basic principles of FMM and its concrete steps, which includes the aggregation, transfer and disaggregation are represented. And all the formulas are given. It lays a good foundation for the core program.Thirdly, some analysis models of antenna EMC are established. The models include far field model and coupling model. The computation results of several models are presented and are contrasted which shows the correctness and efficiency of FMM.Finally, the "Communication System Electromagnetic Compatibility Analysis Software" which using the object-oriented design concept is introduced. The study in this paper provides an effective means for the EMC analysis of the shipborne communication system and offers a strong support for the actual project.
