Abstract


MaQiao Town is located in XiangFan city in HuBei province and is surrounded by a group of moutains. There are abundant natural resources and beautiful natural landscape. However, as limited by the economic conditions and traffic restrictions, the whole area’s development is impeded.This paper is the study of the space characters of MaQiao Town’s village and research the 24 villages’ space for the whole region’s space analysis .It firstly studies the villagers’ live life on the way of observation and analysis, to list all the factors influencing the villages’ space form. Then summarize and analysis them to make sure what are the major factors effect the villages’ space form. Based on the main factors to 24 villages in the form of the class space, all the settlements are divided into four categories.For a full understanding of the four categories’ feature, it choose one representative village from each category to make a further space form feaature study. Comparative and analysis the four kinds of space form that the four villages stand, to reflect the general dynamic characteristics of MaQiao Town villages’ space form .After we have a clear understanding of the division and the type of the areas’ village space, designers can make the point of planning and design based on the clarity of these features . At the same time, the characters of the space form also shows that the villages’ own space richness and can provide some material for the future planning and design
