With the 3G network construction , with the growing popularity of intelligent terminals watch videos . Intelligent terminal using the DSP for video decoding acceleration , but it limits the video file format and encoding. Therefore, the need for more efficient use of hardware features intelligent terminal , the optimizer to improve performance codec to provide a better user experience. H.264/AVC video coding for its high compression ratio, good network affinity , sophisticated algorithms for video coding preferred, but its high compression ratio also brings a high computational complexity . Most of the intelligent terminal using ARM processor , Cortex-A8 ARMv7 architecture is based on the latest application processor , the introduction of many new technologies , including the NEON media processing engine. Cortex-A8 platform H.264 decoding optimization study has a broad application prospects. Through the H.264 decoding algorithm module processes and major studies , as well as Cortex-A8 architecture, including instruction set, pipeline structure , NEON technical characteristics analysis, evaluation H.264 decoding algorithm bottleneck based on the combination for Intel MMX optimization techniques and FFmpeg H.264 decoding optimization in research , presented to major consuming modules, such as motion compensation module , deblocking filter module, the inverse transform inverse quantization module parallel optimization algorithms . With iPhone 3GS as a test environment, test standards Foreman, Akiyo, Mobile-calendar video sequence decoding performance . Compare the overall performance changes before and after optimization , the results show different video sequences , optimization program has a greater performance boost. As each algorithm module in a different video sequences , the percentage of different complexity , and motion compensation algorithm module most suitable for parallel optimization , so different video sequences to enhance the range are different.
