Abstract

【Objective】 with 256 layer X-ray computed tomography, volumetric measurement software to measure the normal brain ventricle, lateral ventricles capacity to determine the reference range of normal human ventricle and lateral ventricle capacity in vivo state. 【Method】 Philips latest production of the 256-slice spiral CT, the TLC scanning 1,093 cases normal adult skull. Magnum empty baseline, continuous three-dimensional reconstruction of the brain tissue to the top of the head scans; processing software in brain tissue, the ventricular system; then cutting cutting technology with software on the surrounding structure, final accurate measurement of brain ventricle and lateral ventricles volume size. According to different age groups, divided into a group of infants and young children (0-3 years old), preschool (4-6 years old), primary school (7-12 years old), middle school group (13-18 years old) youth group (19-35 years old), middle-aged group (36-60 years old), the elderly group (gt; 60 years of age) seven groups of measurement. The normal CT performance standard for a correct anatomical position: CT scan must include a complete brain tissue from parietal foramen magnum. Brain tissue lesions: exclude all cerebral atrophy, cerebral edema, brain injury, cerebral hemorrhage, intracranial space-occupying lesions hydrocephalus CT images. Computer SPSS11.5 statistical software for data statistically (P = 0.05), concluded. [Results] According to the experimental analysis of the results obtained: ventricle and lateral ventricle volume 19-35 age group homogeneity of variance test results for unequal variances, correct the t-test, P lt; 0.05, statistically significant gender differences, men ventricle and lateral ventricle volume are larger than females; the remaining groups ventricle and lateral ventricle volume gender differences homogeneity of variance for homogeneity of variance, P values ??greater than 0.05 and not statistically significant. Ventricle and lateral ventricle volume pairwise comparison, the analysis of variance between groups ventricular volume analysis of variance greater than or equal to a statistically significant difference between the 60-year-old age group and other groups, no statistically significant difference between the other groups. Lateral ventricle volume analysis of variance is greater than or equal to a statistically significant difference between the 60-year-old age group and other groups, but the age of 35 -60 age group with no statistically significant difference between the other groups. [Conclusion]. 0-3 years, 4-6 years, 7-12 years, 13-18-year-old, 19-35-year-old, 36-60-year-old, gt; 60-year-old in each age group of normal people the brain and ventricular system capacity 95% confidence interval. Healthy people over the age of 2.60 With age, the brain tissue have different degrees of atrophy, brain atrophy was no difference between the sexes. 3 lateral ventricles capacity with age and increased after the age of 60 grew faster. 4. Ventricular system and brain volume and lateral ventricle and ventricular system volume ratio can be used as indicators diagnosis of intracranial lesions.
