With the Internet, communication technology and the rapid development of hardware storage capacity , copyright protection of digital media is becoming increasingly serious . As an important authentication and copyright protection , digital watermarking has been widespread concern in the information security community . In this paper, resist geometric attacks and common filtering, compression attack presents a partial digital watermarking algorithm . The algorithm is based on SIFT descriptor area , combining local image discrete cosine transform implementation of digital watermark embedding and extraction, to obtain a more robust results . This paper first reviews the basic concepts of digital watermarking and models , and in accordance with the digital watermark embedding area will be divided into two categories: global and local digital watermarking digital watermarking . By analyzing the pros and cons of two watermarks , illustrates the use of local digital watermarking has strong ability to resist geometric attacks and difficult to destroy advantage. In order to implement robust local digital watermarking, along with the introduction of this scale invariance and rotation invariance good SIFT feature descriptor . Then study the SIFT-based digital watermarking by SIFT feature descriptors for feature points with scale invariance and neighborhood gradient direction using the statistical properties of the feature point distribution with the main direction of rotation invariance . Use SIFT descriptors regional and scales with rotation invariance feature points on 9 × 9 neighborhood calculating DCT coefficients and coefficients in the IF section select the part of the implementation of watermark embedding . In the extraction process, using SIFT features scale invariance and orientation invariance , combined with attacks on Radon transform for image geometric correction, DCT coefficients extracted from digital watermark . Through a series of experiments show that the proposed method compared with conventional digital watermarking , can be well combined with the regional characteristics of local image in a variety of geometric and other common attacks can achieve watermark extraction , is a robust digital watermarking scheme .
