Abstract


Zhu xi is outstanding representative of Confucianism in Song-Ming Dynasty,his theory system is called“neo-confucianism”.Zhu xi’s neo-confucianism inherit traditional Confucianism,and also make great development.The absorption of Buddhism is that one of the main performance of this development.This absorption is multifaceted, but owing to limited space,this paper mainly discusses the relationship between moral culture which is in Zhu xi’s neo-confucianism system and Buddhism.There are three parts in this article,the first part mainly discusses the affinity between Zhu xi and Buddhism.Zhu xi was born in a family that Buddhist atmosphere is very thick,impacted by family environment,Zhu xi is interested in Buddhism.“Three gentlemen”,who were Zhu xi’s teachers,all preferenced Buddhism, this also produced great impact to Zhu xi. The second part mainly discusses the relationship between Meditation and Buddhism.Zhu xi thought meditation is subjective conditions of realize“natural-principles”.This is similar with buddhist meditation thoughts.Meditation also makes the followers experience Buddha nature. The third part mainly discusses the relationship between“study the nature of things”and Buddhism.Zhu xi insists that moral accomplishment will reach enlightenment by gradual fix,it also has a close relationship with Buddhism.Gradual fix and enlightenment are important meditate method in Buddhist.To Some extent we can say the theory“study the nature of things”of Zhu xi is formed through kneading Buddhist gradual fix and enlightenment.There are so many criticism to Buddhism in Zhu xi’s life,and also many absorption of Buddhism,for example his“meditation”and“study the nature of things”.To some extent,Zhu xi’s renaissance of Confucianism is based on the reference of Buddhist.
