Abstract


Studies have shown that social support pros and cons, excessive rumination type of social support will cause depression, anxiety and other symptoms. The most important companion teenagers sources of social support. To maintain self-respect and protect self-worth, self-value evaluation task facing will use more self-handicapping strategies worth exploring in order to provide mental health education for young people theory and practice support. Study in two parts: First, Amanda J. Internalizing symptoms and self-esteem were significantly negatively correlated. Companion rumination and friendship quality, self-disclosure and rumination thinking each dimension and total score were significantly correlated with the internalization of anxiety-related symptoms significantly. (7) Hierarchical regression showed that the first layer of grade, gender positively predicted self-handicapping. The second layer of self-esteem and grades into the regression equation. Predict the outcome of the third layer CRQ factors and grades (forward prediction) and self-esteem (negative predictor) were explained 15.4% of self-handicapping. The fourth layer: Symptoms rumination, CDI, anxiety, self-disclosure, CRQ presumably results in positively predict self-handicapping: reflection reflection, friendship quality negatively predict self-handicapping strategies of explaining 35.3% of self-handicapping behavior.
