With the restructuring of the telecommunications industry in China in 2008, China Telecom, the successful acquisition of China Unicom's CDMA network, has to operate mobile services operator license, successfully enter the field of mobile communications, to achieve a full-service operation. Also started the construction work in order to provide users with a variety of communications and information services, to meet the demand for mobile business, in 2008, China Telecom began a comprehensive construction and deployment of the CDMA network, as one of the basic business SMS business. SMS for its simple, practical, inexpensive, as well as the characteristics of the mobile terminals do not ask for much, loved by the majority of users, the SMS business has become one of the mobile phone users most frequently used in business. In addition to a large number of mobile phone users to point-to-point short message service for mobile phone users, SMS information services business information platform to mobile phone users are also the rapid development of the business has become the majority of users as a means of access to information in a timely and convenient manner. The support of the majority of the service provider (SP), the user can get a lot of useful information using SMS on demand or website customized, SP gain through the provision of paid information services, users and SP SMS information services business are great. The short message service gateway is an important part of the network of the SMS, short message service gateway located in the SMS center and intermediate SP, for the exchange of data between the SP and the SMS center to provide a safe, convenient access, so that mobile phone users with SMS two-way communication with the SP to receive the information services provided by the SP, completed at the same time the the charge accordingly collection, service management, and network management functions. This paper first discusses the development of the short message service, the construction of meaning in short message service gateway, SMS service gateway position in the network of China Telecom SMS, short message service gateway on the CDMA network system functions, system structure and external interface introduced . China Telecom Group's mobile operations while adhering to the principle of network planning, combined with the practical business planning needs of Ningxia Telecom, discusses the Ningxia Telecom CDMA network SMS service gateway technology embodiment, provides guidance for practical engineering deployment. Finally, the work practice of Ningxia Telecom CDMA network SMS service gateway actual debugging and testing, as well as SMS SP Telecom CDMA network SMS network migration cutover original Unicom SMS network described. SP SMS-based information service, with its rich and flexible application, in a very long time in the future, there will still be a lot of room for growth and profit margins.
