Yanchi County is to our typical farming pasture ecotonal study the dynamic changes of land desertification representative . Start from Yanchi County in 1999 , 2004 and 2010 , three Yanchi County, TM / ETM satellite images using the normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) inversion of the vegetation cover in Yanchi County , Yanchi County annually supervised classification land use / cover condition , with the transfer matrix analysis predicted with the Markov Process Yanchi County land use / cover change , and finally to the land use / land cover and vegetation cover as indicators of the degree of land desertification in Yanchi County is divided into mild , degrees , serious and extremely serious four and analyze the dynamic changes of desertification . The analysis of the vegetation cover in Yanchi County, 1999 , 2004 , 2010 average coverage of 24.08% , 26.97% and 23.92% , showing an increase in a downward trend ; land use / cover change studies show that , Yanchi County land cover types accounted for an average of more than 60% of the county area and tended to increase , mainly grass Yanchi County land use / land cover conversion mainly grassland and farmland conversion , conversion trend slowing down . Desertification dynamic process show that , Yanchi County moderate desertification land accounted for a 60% or more , and still gradually increased , mild and very severe desertification land in gradually reducing the heavy degree of desertification land first increase to reduce the overall Yanchi County the land toward moderate desertification is in coverage grassland based direction , and development trends tend to be easing .
