Abstract

Background: The presence of ischemic neuronal apoptosis is widespread among appeared in cerebrovascular disease , neuronal apoptosis and cerebrovascular disease are closely related. Currently found in apoptosis death receptor ligands path comprises : fas-fasL, TNF-α-TNFR, TRAIL-DR4/DR5, APO-3L-DR3 like. Tumor necrosis factor related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) since the early years found no toxicity to normal cells has aroused widespread concern , and its soluble receptor osteoprotegerin (OPG) and arterial calcification may be a protective factor . Objective: acute cerebral infarction (ACI) in line with the treatment of acute stroke trials Org10172 (TOAST) classification serum sTRAIL, OPG levels were measured, explore sTRAIL, OPG in the pathogenesis of ACI and its clinical significance. Methods : ACI patients with aortic atherosclerosis stroke (LAA) 17 cases of stroke small artery occlusion (SAO) 13 cases, 14 cases of healthy controls were measured by ELISA in serum sTRAIL, OPG. Results : ACI serum sTRAIL, OPG, fasting plasma glucose (FPG) was higher, high-density lipoprotein (HDL) than the control group ; LAA type NIHSS, CSS score higher than SAO, LAA type sTRAIL higher , OPG higher than the SAO and the control group (P lt; 0.05), statistically significant differences . ACI serum OPG levels and age showed a positive linear correlation. Conclusion : TRAIL, OPG ACI pathological processes involved , they are particularly prominent role in the LAA .
