Background Burkholderia cepacia (Burkholderia cepacia, Bc) is a non - fermenting bacteria , Gram- negative aerobic pathogens as important , the main cause of patients with cystic fibrosis (cystic fibrosis, CF) and chronic granulomatous (chronic granulomatous, CG) in patients with infection , patients asymptomatic carrier , chronic infection , or onion syndrome , multiple drug resistance to antimicrobial drugs , particularly difficult to eradicate . With the extensive use of antimicrobial drugs , reported increased gradually in recent years, Burkholderia cepacia infection outside of these two diseases , which can cause pneumonia , septicemia , wound infection , deep abscess, urinary tract infection . Objective To investigate the the Burkholderia cepacia resistance to 10 antimicrobial agents and β-lactam class of antimicrobial resistance mechanisms , and provide guidance for the clinical use of drugs . Methods using agar dilution method to detect various types of specimens 40 Burkholderia cepacia minimum inhibitory concentration ( minimum inhibitory concentration , MIC ) of 10 antimicrobial agents ; using EDTA -Na 2 sub > the collaborative screening test (synergic screening method) detection of metallo-β- lactamase (metalloβ-lactamase, MBL) phenotype ; using PCR method (Polymerase Chain Reaction) Determination of β - lactamase enzyme part of the resistance gene . Results in 10 kinds of detection of antimicrobial drugs , Burkholderia cepacia cefuroxime resistance rates highest of 73.9% , followed by 71.6% of levofloxacin , aztreonam 67.2% , chloramphenicol 60.6 % , meropenem 57.5% , piperacillin / tazobactam 47.5% , ceftazidime 45.5% , 42.0% minocycline , cefepime 40.0% , cefoperazone / sulbactam 35.1 % ; EDTA- Na < sub > 2 synergistic screening test positive rate was 56.5%; 7 kinds of the resistance gene to be detected , the β - lactam enzyme resistance gene IMP - 1 and VIM-1 positive , were not detected OXA10 OXA23 , OXA24, DHA1, VIM-2 gene . Conclusion onions Burkholderia higher antimicrobial resistance rates , clinical rational drug selection should be based on susceptibility results . The presence of IMP-1 and VIM - 1 lead Burkholderia cepacia β - lactam antimicrobial resistance mechanisms .
