Abstract

With the development of science and technology and society, China's accession to the WTO, globalization has become the mainstream of world development. In this global village, more and more frequent exchanges between the people of different cultural backgrounds. A variety of language skills is a necessary means of communication, some knowledge of the language and culture, social background undoubtedly communication indispensable factors. There are various differences between the languages ??and cultures of various ethnic groups, people of different countries and regions in the process of cross-cultural communication will inevitably produce mistakes caused Intercultural Communication the Pragmatic Failure, affect the communicative effects. Cross-cultural communication the Pragmatic Failure growing cause for concern, this study of significant research value and significance people socially and English teaching. The papers by the emergence of language in cross-cultural communication with mistakes, analyze the cause of the errors, aims to deepen understanding and awareness of the problem and try to avoid the occurrence of such errors in the actual process of communication, so communicators theory with practice guided by the principles, smooth progress to promote cross-cultural communication. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, the paper adopted survey to understand Pragmatic failures and high school students in cross-cultural communication analysis, to explore the root causes of Pragmatic Failure and its revelation of the teaching of English as a Foreign Language, to seek to achieve effective verbal communication, to avoid or reduce the teaching approach Pragmatic failures. Survey to understand the present situation and the existing problems of the current culture of teaching high school teachers and high school students. The investigation to the provincial focus Pingyao Middle School Case, 18 English teachers and 180 students participated in the survey. The paper also analyzes the comparative analysis of the students' attitude of cultural teaching English scores.
