Abstract


With the focus of foreign language teaching \The anxiety has been shown to hinder the learning of various types , how to reduce the negative impact of anxiety on learners of foreign language teaching is a big challenge . The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between today's Chinese college students foreign language learning anxiety level and university English four exams . The object of study is the 128 from the accounting profession sophomore ( 2008 enrollment ) . I used Horwitz Foreign Language Classroom Anxiety Scale as questionnaire collected tested students in December 2009 CET examination results , and analysis of research on the above issues through questionnaires and interviews . The survey results show that : generally significantly higher non-English majors classroom anxiety , the anxiety and English academic achievement was a significant negative correlation , that anxiety higher the value , the worse the student achievement ; anxiety lower the value , the student of the more outstanding achievements . Reflects the different extent of the negative relationship between classroom anxiety CET scores related to listening comprehension and the strength test was part negative correlation was weak negative correlation with reading comprehension and writing part . Found through statistical analysis , the student 's classroom anxiety in two communicative anxiety and test anxiety , which became the key factors that affect the efficiency of learning English , generated by my Mandarin classroom teaching situation as well as the impact of the students ' individual differences significantly . Finally , this study suggests that , in college English teaching , teachers should be the existence and effect of anxiety in the teaching process , focus on the individual differences of students , to create a lively classroom atmosphere to reduce the student's classroom anxiety ultimately improving their English learning efficiency purposes.
