Abstract


The voice is an important part of the learning of a second language and foreign language learning. More and more researchers are aware of the importance of the voice, at home and abroad, there has been a significant part of research on voice learning. However, only a small part of the learning strategies from the point of view to study voice. Of this study was to investigate the voice of English professional college students learning strategy use. The study attempts to answer the following research questions: (1) English major college students' English learning strategy use voice what? (2) whether there is a correlation between English Pronunciation learning strategies and English voice level? (3) what kind of strategy predictability of the English voice level? (4) voice different levels of students in speech learning strategies use What's the difference? According to existing literature, this paper summarizes the theoretical development of language learning strategies as well as voice learning strategies research. The subjects were 132 English major freshman college students in Guangxi Normal University. Research tool for a voice learning strategy the questionnaire and voice test. Questionnaire was modified from the theoretical framework of the Oxford and Peterson. The data collected by SPSS statistical analysis. Through descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, regression analysis and independent samples t-test to obtain the following results: (1) the extent of the English major college students use voice learning strategies in The use of six types of speech learning strategies from more to less order: affective strategies gt; Social Strategy gt; cognitive strategies gt; meta-cognitive strategies gt; Compensation Strategy gt; memory strategies. (2) In addition to the compensation strategy, other the speech learning strategies related to English voice level has a significant positive correlation. (3) The total predictability of the English voice strategy English voice level is 21.9%. Cognitive strategies of the English voice level there is a clear positive predictive compensation strategy has obvious negative predictive. (4) different levels of learners there are differences in the use of voice learning strategies. Both significant differences exist in the use of cognitive strategies, compensation strategies and affective strategies. The study of voice teaching English major college students have some inspiration. Teachers should expand their own knowledge of English speech learning strategies, change the role of teachers, training students to use voice learning strategy awareness and training them how to properly use the strategy to make their voice learning more effective and efficient.
