The metaphor is not just a rhetorical device, it is an important human cognitive mechanisms and ways of thinking. Metaphor and politics are closely linked to the political fact that is constituted by the metaphor, has an important role in the political language, metaphor, is the lifeblood of politics, leave the metaphor, the political rhetoric will not be able to exist. Political events can not be directly perceived, we need to make use of the metaphor to define the relevant issues, and politicians to express their political ideology or policy advocacy, usually selected audience more familiar metaphor mode so that the audience is easier to understand, so as to achieve the best publicity. Throughout the previous metaphor of political language, mostly English-based materials, the lack of systematic study of the language of metaphor based on the Chinese-based political. In view of this, the purpose of this study is that the analysis of the Chinese political language metaphor characteristics explained in detail the working mechanism of the Chinese political language metaphor and use characteristics. In the process of writing this article, we selected 2006 - 2010, the central government work report as the basis of our corpus frequency ratio and other relevant data statistics, the number of metaphorical discourse corpus, and through the relevant linguistic theory to a careful analysis, so that we have a clear understanding of metaphor in political discourse. Investigation and analysis, we found nine common metaphor in the Chinese political language, the mode frequency of use of these metaphors are not consistent, according to our survey, the frequency of use of these nine modes in descending order are: human metaphor, engineering metaphor, the war metaphor, the journey metaphor, the metaphor of flow, plant metaphor, the metaphor of the container, the family metaphor, metaphor banner. In addition, from a cognitive perspective, the classification of metaphor in the corpus, summarized in order to identify the use of metaphor in political language law and its working mechanism. We believe that in the political language, the characteristics of the use of metaphor is mainly reflected in the following two areas: the metaphor mode selection, mode of political language metaphor are commonly used in modern Chinese metaphor, the source domain are more familiar things. Although the political life of the new problems every year, but for the type of expression of these new metaphor did not change, which reflects the stability of the metaphorical expression; semantic features, similar to the source and target domains in metaphor compared , which is frequently used metaphors are basically familiar in people's daily life, this metaphor is generally difficult for the audience to perceive higher concealment. The above view is on the basis of previous studies, based on the existing corpus obtained by statistical analysis, which exists in a variety of omissions and deficiencies. Our research is intended by the analysis of the Chinese political language, to deepen the understanding of the phenomenon of metaphor, hoping to provide little benefit to the current political language Metaphor.
