Abstract


This thesis focuses on English, Chinese and Mongolian vocabulary in the social and cultural implications were studied , using the comparative approach, in three languages ??about some terms to be controlled, in order to prove their meaning in the social and cultural aspects of the similarities and differences Department . In common is the language of the common cause, but the difference is the language of cultural identity reflected. This will be divided into two language dialectical view is that this paper made ??theoretical contributions . In addition, social and cultural significance in different languages ??on the specific differences enable us to better understand English , Chinese and Mongolian vocabulary. This knowledge will help teachers to help speak Chinese and speak Mongolian students to overcome cultural barriers in order to firmly grasp the English vocabulary. So that students in the future reduce misunderstandings in intercultural communication is a realistic idea , and the starting point of this study is based on such a realistic goal. The overall structure of this thesis is divided into the following four parts: introduction explores the vocabulary and the relationship between the social and cultural background , which emphasizes the understanding of social and cultural background knowledge to grasp the importance of vocabulary and subsequently clarified in this study purposes. In the second part of the first conducted a brief literature review, and then introduced the theory of this paper relates to four areas, namely general linguistics , sociolinguistics , language and culture, and lexicology . The third part is the core part of it compares some terms from three languages ??, and trace levels of language and ideological similarities and differences of historical roots. Paper analyzes the vocabulary is divided into five categories, including relatives, name, home utensils names, animal names , courtesy title and technological terminology . In-depth analysis will naturally lead the paper part of its conclusions , and finally re- filed in the reader's ear vocabulary teaching this thought-provoking questions .
