Abstract


China’s credit card business is playing a more and more important role in the financial market after 20 years of continuous development. However, the risk of the rapid development of the credit card business occurs more frequently, with the amounts increasing, which to some extent, limited the development of China’s credit card business.In this paper, according to the analysis to the type of credit card risk, hazard and causes as well as the present status of the existing credit card risk and control problems, we can obtain the importance and feasibility of this stage through legal means to control the risk. And personal opinions on the construction of the related system about the legal controls of the credit card risk are proposed on the basis of the analysis and comparison of credit card business in the developed countries.This paper mainly in the following thread to start:The first is mainly the brief instruction to the concept of credit risk, types, hazards, causes of credit risk ,and other aspects.The second is the importance and feasibility of the means of legal controls through the analysis to the current status. The main purpose is to specify the deficiencies of legal controls.The third is the instruction to the theory and practice on the legal controls of the credit card risk in developed countries whose credit card business are prosperous. The last is the perfection to the system of the legal controls on China’s credit card risk.
