Abstract


Comparison analysis to Chinese and American’s university sports contests and draw the feasibility of SWOT analysis methods in Beijing university sports contests development studies. Research the developing status of Beijing college sports competition by expert interview and investigation method. Through SWOT analysis to analyze the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and challenges in Beijing university sports contests, Constructing the SWOT analysis matrix of Beijing university competition, finally obtain the conclusion through the matrix analysis and puts forward the corresponding proposal:1 ConclusionFrom the comparative study management pattern, the event funds, competition plan, high level sports talents cultivation, combination of sport and education of university sports competitions we can see various aspects difference in China and the United States, this is true conducive to Beijing university sports contests choice the direction of development pattern.Advantages of Beijing university sports contests including Abundant comprehensive resource, Part of the project outstanding, Perfect sports facilities.Disadvantage of Beijing university sports contests including System are not perfect, Contest funds shortage, Competition less chance.Opportunities of Beijing university sports contests including National policy support, Funding channels increased, Event form increased.Threats of Beijing university sports contests including Athletic level is low, Competition backup talents shortage, Competition projects development imbalance.2 SuggestionsSO (advantage-opportunity) strategy:Play advantage role and seize the opportunity. Use the college rich:comprehensive resource creating advantage projects; Use the college perfect sports facilities Develop high quality of sports contest; Using events form development to absorb much more multi-channel funds.WO (weakness-opportunity) strategy:Overcome disadvantage and seize opportunity. We should fully conformities when Beijing University sports contests development face opportunity and weaknesses.ST (advantage-threat) strategies:Play advantage role and actively respond to threats. This mode is refers to using advantage resources to establish various measures, so can guarantee to solved successfully or reduce threat level when the threat occur.WT (weakness-threat) strategy:Overcome disadvantage and actively responds to threats and fully found the inferiority and challenges of Beijing university sports contests and let the sports competition in an orderly environment development by perfected competition mechanism and management system.
