Abstract


Over the past decade, the aging speed of China's population structure to speed up the pure substances pension model can no longer meet the requirements of an aging society, ready to come out of the spirit of old-age. Shanghai is China's most economically developed cities with the highest degree of population aging, the reading environment and reading habits of Shanghai elderly, not only help to understand the situation of contemporary spiritual needs of the elderly, but also for the spirit of old-age service to provide a reference experiences. With the rapid development of the regional economy and technology, the impact of the new family structure and pension mode the traditional elderly based culture of filial piety, utilitarian reading thoughts twisted public attitudes towards reading, the elderly suffer more mental stress in the transformation of the social role increasing emphasis on reading activities embedded and derived solace function. Conflicts with this elderly constrained by the physical health, level of education, the social spirit pension support and good reading habits and other conditions, increase in dyslexia, highlight the contradiction between the reading needs and meet. In response to these contradictions, the Government should take the initiative to assume the important task of spiritual endowment, by means of the mass media to popularize the spirit of old-age philosophy, reading patterns through the development of digital television and the role of supporting the development of the social spirit of respect for the elderly volunteer services, and enhance the spiritual life of reading activities for rich elderly . For each family, especially parents and children to carry out family interactive reading, pro-the old reading activities help to enhance the sense of spiritual satisfaction of the elderly.
