Abstract


At present, many countries in their efforts to develop a variety of policies to attract foreign direct investment ( FDI ) is to improve the productivity of local enterprises through FDI technology spillover effect . These two regions of the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta has always insisted on the investment route , by virtue of its geographical advantages , to attract a lot of FDI . Productivity growth in these two regions , FDI technology overflow what plays what role ; the FDI concrete overflow channels (forward , backward , and the level of association ) Are there any differences ? Of these two major regional FDI technology overflow comparative analysis is essential . In this paper, from the theoretical and empirical two parts specifically addressed. In theory, the first clarify the connotation of FDI technology spillover and FDI technology spillover and specific analysis of some important factors . System summarized FDI technology spillover theory and empirical research . Empirical Malmquist productivity index method to calculate the productivity of the domestic industrial sector in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta , the technical efficiency and technological progress ; then test the FDI growth in the domestic industrial sector productivity in the Pearl River Delta and Yangtze River Delta , and more in-depth study of these two sub - levels from the technical level of the industry and the market orientation of FDI technology spillover . The results showed that: the Pearl River Delta, the FDI level and after the associated productivity of domestic -owned enterprises have a positive role in promoting , mainly through technological progress ; Yangtze River Delta 's FDI mainly by the level of correlation and forward linkages productivity of domestic -owned enterprises impact , mainly through technological progress .
