Abstract


People need to rely on nature to survive. Since modern industrial civilization, because of the unlimited exploitation of nature, human eventually suffered a natural retaliation, which led to global ecological crisis. How can human do to get rid of ecological crisis to achieve harmonious coexistence between man and nature? Many thinkers have been considering this problem. One of the most valuable achievements is the excavation and development of Marx and Engels’ecological philosophy by eco-Marxism, and ultimately formed the theoretical system.This paper firstly introduces the background of the ecological philosophy and basic connotation of ecological Marxism, expounding the formation and development of the ecological philosophy and its major content. Secondly, from the view of nature and society, it analyses two aspects of Marx and Engels ecological philosophy, and discusses the relation between Marx and Engels’ natural ecology and social ecology. Finally, this article compares the ecological philosophy between ecological Marxism and Marx and Engels from the relationship between man and nature, the inevitable contact between the capitalist system and ecological crisis,the basic way to solve ecological crisis, and introduces the similarities and differences of respective ecological philosophy.Comparison between ecological Marxism and the ecological philosophy of Marx and Engels can make us have a good understanding new progress of western Marxism more clearly,at the same time, and better grasp the essence of its theory.
