Abstract

Objective: To find out the joint manifestation of CA242, CA724, CEA among colorectal carcinoma patients in Qinghai(xining) district and the differences among subjects with various differentiation stages, different ages and gender groups; thereby provide a basis for the diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of patients with colorectal carcinoma. Methods: This research implements the electrochemiluminescence––immunoassay to analyze the level of CA242, CA724, CEA in the serum of 60 subjects with colorectal carcinoma 30 subjects with colon polyps and 30 healthy people. The results are group according to different differentiation degrees, ages, and genders to find out whether different groups have different manifestation level. Results: The manifestation of CA242, CA724, CEA among subjects with colorectal carcinoma is noticeably higher than that among subjects with colon polyps and healthy people. The contrast is significant (P<0.05);CA242, CA724, CEA increase with aggravating Dukes stages. The positive rate of individual and joint test of them, the idiosyncratic population contrast are both statistically significant (P<0.05).The positive rate of CEA test, CA242 test are strikingly higher than CA724 test, CEA+CA242 joint test and CA242, CA724, CEA joint test have remarkably higher positive rates than that of individual test or the joint test of the other two. CA242, CA724, CEA in serum of colorectal carcinoma patients of different age groups have statistically significant (P<0.05), whereas CA242、CA724、CEA in serum of colorectal carcinoma patients among different genders are not significan(tP>0.05). The idiosyncrasy and agreement rate of CA242 is better than CA724 and CEA in the diagnosis of colon cancer, yet the responsiveness of CA242 is not so good as CEA.Conclusion: The joint test of CA242 CA724 CEA in serum of colorectal carcinoma have a better accuracy and responsiveness in the diagnosis of colon cancer than individual test of any one of them, which helps to improve the detectable rate of colorectal carcinoma, and provide some guidance to make certain the clinic stages, lymph node metastasis, tumor infiltration extent, and on the whole the effect of clinic treatment. Moreover, the three as token of tumor have higher positive rates than those in colorectal carcinoma patients with benign illness(P<0.05 ), and they gradually increase with the aggravation of colorectal carcinoma development. When doing joint test of patient group with benign colon tumor and patient group with malignant colorectal carcinoma, the responsiveness of the three token is also somewhat elevated, which clearly shows their value in the early diagnosis of colorectal carcinoma. Therefore, the joint test of more than one tumor token can supplement each other’s effect in the early diagnosis, estimation of illness. The joint test of them can increase the efficiency of diagnosis.
