Abstract

Artificial airway catheter through the upper respiratory tract into the trachea or directly into the trachea created by gas channel . Its purpose is to establish a valid connection between the physiological airway with air or other gas source , in order to protect the airway . Common artificial airway intubation ( oral , nasal ) and tracheotomy . In patients with severe traumatic brain injury , cerebral hemorrhage , the the tracheotomy is one of the important means to relieve airway obstruction , rescue the patient's life . The tracheotomy , upper respiratory tract loss of normal respiratory mucosa heating , humidification , filtration , etc. , leading to airway drying, the formation of sputum , easy to cause airway obstruction , or even re- choking hazard [ 1 ] . Clinical work, to maintain effective airway humidification reduce the incidence crucial tracheotomy complications , the airway humidification lead to sticky sputum , sputum callus formation , increased risk of lung infections ; wet can cause excessive frequent coughing, shortness of breath, or even pulmonary edema [2] . To explore more effective airway humidification , the author of a comparative study on the effect of different doses of intermittent oxygen atomizing and continuous infusion of artificial airway humidification . Objective: To compare the different dose intermittent oxygen atomizing and continuous infusion of artificial airway humidification effect. Methods: selected 104 patients were randomly divided into four groups , A group of intermittent atomization 6 ml of oxygen / h , group B intermittent oxygen atomizing 8 ml / h , C intermittent oxygen spray 10ml / h , D the group continuous infusion wet 10ml / h. Each group were compared airway humidification , complications and vital signs . Results : B wet satisfaction ratio higher than that in group A and group C ( P lt ; 0.05 ) , Group D was no significant difference . Compared with group D , B , C group airway mucosal bleeding and irritating cough incidence rate decreased ( P lt ; 0.01 , P lt ; 0.05 ) ; Group B lung infection rate lower than group D ( P lt ; 0.05 ). Compared with Group D , Group B PaO2 and SaO2 was significantly higher RR and HR ( P lt ; 0.05 ) slowed down . Conclusions: intermittent oxygen atomization wet method can achieve the same with the continuous infusion method of airway humidification effect , and the airway humidification fewer complications , better oxygenation .
