BackgroundStroke is the disease of high incidence, morbidity, and mortality in clinical. Stroke patinets with a higher incidence have urinary incontinence. Have reported the incidence of urinary incontinence after stroke in hospitalized patients was 32%-79%. Almost half of the patients of acute stroke had urinary incontinence. The rate of urinary incontinence in 6 months later after the stroke is 20%. Long-term urinary incontinence causes urinary tract infections easily, and even vesicoureteral reflux, hydronephrosis and renal function impairment. These problem can easily make patients depression,negative. These don’t only affect the overall treatment effect, but also lead to reduce the quality of patients, life, and decline the social ability, and increase the burden of society and the family.ObjectiveThrough comparing the patients, improved symptoms of urinary incontinence before and after treatment, to objective evaluate its’ outcome, to explore the influence on prognosis of stroke by treating UI with needle warming moxibustion.MethodsThe research discussed the clinical treatment effect on treating uringary incontinence after stroke.60 Patients were randomly divided into a treatment group(n=30) and a control group(n=30).All the patients were given regular treatment.Based on this, the treatment group was given needle warming moxibustion by using qihai and guanyuan, until moxa stick burn out, waiting for the thermal disappear and then withdrawing the needle. The control group was given only acupuncture by using qihai and guanyuan, manipulating the needle every 5 minutes, withdrawing the needle 30 minutes later. Two groups were treated once everyday,5 days a week continuous treatment,2 days off per week, one week was a period of treatment, a total of 2 treatment. According the micturition diary before and after the treatment, recording the urine number, nocturia number, fecal incontinence number, capable of autonomous control number, urine meaning Number.We evaluated the efficacy by needle warming moxibustion. the patients, clinical symptoms were compared after treating.ResultsAfter two weeks’ treatment,3 cases were cured,22 cases were effective and 5 cases were ineffective in the therapy group, with an effective rate of 83.3%. While in the control group,1 case was cured,17 cases were effective and 12 cases were ineffective with an effective rate of 60%. The cure and remarkable effect rate of therapy group in urinary incontinence after stroke was superiou to the control group(P<0.05), and so is the improvement of the scores of clinicla symptoms. The two groups after treating all patients can obviously increase the daily life of stroke with ability score and reduce the neural function defect score.ConclusionsThe treatment group with needle warming moxibustion is more effective than the control group.
