Abstract

The salutation is both a social relationship deixis said with courtesy and attitude of the speaker , is a mental process . From cognitive research perspective , metaphor and metonymy widely exists in the salutation and nicknamed them the cultural background of cognitive widespread among two phenomena . The paper selects U.S. drama \The salutation \The article will appear salutation analysis divided into two categories , the first category is called call , second class called nickname , the difference between the two in the location and composition of its use . Body , respectively, from the school angle and Cognitive World Social Pragmatic salutation appears . In this paper, the face theory of Brown and Levinson and Brown and Gilman power and on the principles of cognitive semantics theory of metaphor and metonymy application . The purpose of this article is the latest salutation of \research avenues. Many factors , socio-cultural factors , pragmatic and cognitive factors are the three most important aspects .
