Abstract


Read as a major input language learning, listening, speaking, reading and writing skills occupies a very important position. Since the 1970s from reading foreign language education learning strategies to get great attention, and there are many researchers have done a lot research. This study was based on previous studies, through the normal university English majors reading strategy training for experimental studies are needed to prove the necessity of reading strategy training and feasibility, and to find training in reading strategies weak points for foreign language teaching and learning of reading some meaningful reference. The study is based on Zhangzhou Normal University Department of Foreign Languages ??09 11 natural classes of 330 English majors for the study, of which six classes to the experimental group, five classes for the control group. In a year's time, the experimental group reading instruction classes mainly taken the training of reading strategies into daily teaching reading teaching mode. Control group still using the traditional classroom teaching of reading teaching. Before reading strategy training for all students in grades pre-reading test to ensure that the experimental group and control group, no significant differences in the performance. Meanwhile, the study for all students' reading habits and the use of reading strategies questionnaire survey, according to the findings of the survey conducted on the experimental group classes related reading strategy training: Language learning management, use of vocabulary skills, strengthening discourse comprehension, reading Speed ??and training speculate capabilities to analyze sentences organizational forms and critical reading habit and so on. After the training, in the first year after the end of a unified reading test is measured, the results entered SPSS data processing software for quantitative analysis. Meanwhile, the experimental group and the control group of students structured interview survey, its qualitative analysis. The experimental study conclusions are summarized as follows: 1. Reading strategies before the training, all students in grades reading strategies using frequency is not high, there is a lot of bad reading habits. (2) For the vast majority of students into the reading strategy training in reading instruction among this teaching model is a very welcome and accepted. 3 This teaching mode helps to improve reading achievement, the effect is obvious, proven its superiority lies. 4 This teaching learning strategies to strengthen students' reading and use of the concept of consciousness, especially in the form of speculation and sentences organizational strategy and the use of critical thinking development progress significantly.
