Abstract

In recent years, the pace of China's industrialization and urbanization accelerated, sustained and rapid growth of the national economy, but there continue to expand the trend of the development gap between urban and rural areas, in particular, is closely related to the interests of farmers, rural education, health, social security, etc. and the gap between the city's highlights, a conflict between economic and social development in urban and rural areas have become increasingly prominent. Shanghai is China's first practice of \Proposed as early as in 1984, Shanghai developed the nation's first urban economic development strategy, \In 1986, the Shanghai Municipal Government to determine as a unified planning pilot Hongqiao Town, 13 towns, and to handle the relationship between urban and rural areas with the overall concept of the integration of urban and rural. Community is the most basic unit of social life of urban and rural residents, and the differences in urban and rural communities are a microcosm of the entire difference between urban and rural areas. This thesis attempts to conduct in-depth study in Shanghai urban and rural communities, and to compare urban and rural community development status and differences, and to explore the underlying causes of differences between urban and rural areas, the integration of urban and rural construction of Shanghai's high-level scientific and theoretical basis and informative practical experience. The study is divided into five chapters: The first chapter is the introduction. Introduces the research background, significance, methods, frameworks, and this article novelty; theoretical basis. The definition and scope of the study starting from the basic concepts, focuses on the concept of community, community building, and introduces the papers involved in governance and public participation theory is reviewed, and the domestic and foreign construction of urban and rural communities, to provide theoretical support for the analysis of the mechanisms of the urban and rural communities ; Chapter III is the focus of this article.
