Abstract


Since the reform and open policy, Chinese economy, especially eastern region’s economy, has made great achievement which attracts worldwide attention, GDP maintains a fast and stable growth for a long time. All kind of research indicated that the reasonable change and promotion of industrial structure and the foreign capital are massively the main reasons support the swift growth of our country economy. While the foreign capital has brought the scarce capital and technology for our country, also has the profound influence to the industrial structure. Along with economic globalization unceasingly thorough, the function of FDI to our country industry restructure will appear unceasingly.This article take our country’s eastern region as an object, has studied the influence of foreign direct investment upon eastern area’s industrial structure change. Through review and evaluate the correlation theories of transnational direct investment and the industrial structure, analyzed the mechanism how foreign direct investment influence the industrial structure, unifies the empirical data of our country eastern region, Using panel date model positively analyzed the influence of foreign direct investment to the industrial structure of our country eastern region. According to the research conclusion, made the corresponding countermeasure proposal.The paper first inspected the condition and the characteristic of our country eastern area’s industrial structure and FDI, based on this and further carried a positive analysis of the correlational dependence between FDI and the industrial structure of our country eastern region, draws the following important conclusion: First, carried on the examination through the hypothesis of industrial structure variable indicator, finally outcome indicated that FDI is one of the reasons to our country eastern region’s industrial structure optimizes; Next, on the view of industrial structure advance, with the aid of the panel date model, analyzed the influence of FDI to three industrial’s GDP, indicated that FDI promoted the scale of eastern region’s industrial structure; Finally, through establishing endogenous technology growth model, carried on the examination on FDI to the eastern region’s technology advancement, Discovered that FDI promoted the efficiency of our country eastern region’s industrial structure, but it simultaneously has also brought the negative technical overflow to some extent.Combining the preamble analysis conclusion, the paper put forward countermeasure proposal how to absorb and use foreign direct investment from the aspects of industrial structure rationalization and advancement for the eastern region.
