Abstract


Preparation of stable cationic dispersed rosin size is the research highlights of thispaper . Cationic rosin emulsifier was synthesized by triethylamine, rosin and epichlorohydrinin ethanol. the optimum mass ratio is 1:1:1. Adding triethylamine when the resin iscompletely dissolved in ethanol,0.5 hours later, dropping epichlorohydrin within 0.5 hours,then hearing. keep the reaction temperature is 90℃, time was 4 hours, speed 225r/min. Thecationic rosin emulsifier can be used as effective emulsifiers for rosin emulsification. Besides,this emulsifier can be used together with other cationic and nonionic surfactants.Stable cationic dispersed rosin size can be prepared by normal pressure inversionprocess with 12.5% cationic rosin emulsifier and 3.0% cationic surfactants and 2.0% nonionicsurfactants. The optimum conditions for the emulsion are that the emulsion temperature is130~140℃, the conversion temperature is 90~95℃, emulsification speed is 400 ~ 500 r / min,the conversion speed is more than 3500r / min . The size has good sizing effect .The sizingdegreed can be 108s and 62.9s when used in MOW de-inked pulp and bleaching hardwoodpulp. The optimum conditions for use are that temperature of drying wet sheet is 90℃, themass of sizing agents is 1.0%, the mass of aluminum sulfate is1.5% and pH value is 6.0.The emulsifier also has good emulsifying capacity for the C5, C9 petroleum resin.When using 10% to 20% of the C9 petroleum resin, or 40% to 60% of the C5 petroleum resinto replace part of the rosin and using 12.5% rosin cationic emulsifier and 5% cationic andnonionic surfactant ,Stable cationic dispersed rosin size can be prepared by normal pressureinversion process . The optimum conditions for the emulsion are that the emulsiontemperature is 140~150℃, the conversion temperature is 90~95℃, emulsification speed is400 ~ 500 r / min, the conversion speed is more than 3500r / min .Prepared size have goodstability. It is not layered for 6 months under the normal temperature. But when using C9petroleum resin the sizing effect is almost a little better than without petroleum resin andusing C5 petroleum resin the sizing effect is better than without petroleum resin. Inaddition ,adding petroleum resin can improve pH value of sizing .when the pH value is nothigher than 7.0,it have a good sizing effect. So it can be used under neutral condition.
