The sprinkler system is a kind of fire extinguishing system, can automatically detect fire and startup water spraying. The application of the system has a longer history and is currently the most widely used, because of its stability, reliability and security, which can be used for various buildings fire water. Sprinkle nozzle is the terminal component of the system. It plays a key role in the whole system, the reson is that its timely opening is related to whether the automatic sprinkler system can successfully implement extinguishing and fire control, which is also one of the most important indicators of nozzle performance. The establishment of nozzle dynamic thermal performance testing has a great significance on the nozzle testing, inspection, research, especially on the quality supervision.In this paper, the progress of the automatic sprinkler system was reviewed detailly and the dynamic thermal was considered to be a crucial procedure for sprinkler equipment design. Based on the idea and current theory, a set dynamic thermal test device was designed and set up. We analyse and summarize the domestic and foreign existing nozzle dynamic thermal performance test device, then introduce the present situation dynamic thermal performance for sprinkler nozzle design. According to various sprinkler head features, development and design for dynamic thermal performance test device, expounds for the design principle of the test device, wind tunnel device design, fixed block and cooling device design, wind speed measuring device design and testing, a complete set of the decive can be finished.Various types of sprinkler experiments show that the reasonable design, stable and reliable of nozzle device make the performance easy to operate, have a high degree of automation, acquire the data response time short, etc. So it can cover different types of dynamic thermal sprinkler nozzle performance test, meet different standard test requirements.After the establishment of the test equipment of various types of nozzle, a large amount of dynamic thermal tests were carried out, obtained a number of experiment data. As a result, the test device is high efficiency, more stable and reliable according to the entire program. Because of avoiding man-made factors, the test method of the equipment has more similar than international technical level, the testing technology for the international reaches the advanced level.
