Gan West sage (Salvia przewalskii Maxim), also known as Gansu Salvia (Gansu), Salvia (Yunnan), plateau Salvia (Qinghai), red Gentiana (Sichuan), belonging to the Lamiaceae (Labiatae) of wild sesame subfamily (Lamioideae) . The world there are about 1000 species worldwide temperate. Drug Chi records, a total of 83 species, 25 varieties, all over the country, particularly in the southwest region of widespread use of Chinese herbal medicine, folk and more with its root is used. Due to its pharmacological activity similar Salvia has been attracting the interest of many natural medicinal chemists, so there are a lot of studies have reported on its chemical composition. From the point of view of these findings, the chemical composition of Gan West sage the abietane diterpenoid quinone compound (ortho-quinone). In order to find the sage przewalskii diterpenoid active ingredient, to provide a scientific basis for its development and utilization, we studied the chemical composition of Gan West sage collected from Wuding grass. Gan West sage 95% ethanol extract serum-induced vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation inhibition activity screening results showed that the petroleum ether and chloroform part of the 95% ethanol extract significant serum-induced vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation inhibitory activity . In this paper, a variety of chromatographic techniques and spectral means, Gan West sage ethanol extract of the chemical composition of the system, in which the monomer compounds and biological activity screening. 33 compounds isolated and identified from Gan West sage Communist China, of which 22 rosin diterpene quinone compound, 1] for other diterpenoids; the which abietane type compounds containing 10 tricyclic diterpene quinones compound 4 Tanshinone diterpenoid quinone compound, 6 listed ketone-type diterpene quinone compound, respectively: przewalskin Y-1 (1) *, anhydride of anshinone-IIA (2), sugiol (3), epicryptoacetalide (4), cryptoacetalide (5) ,7-hydroxyl-4-heptanone (6), arucadiol (7) ,1-dehydromiltirone (8), miltirone (9), cryptotanshinone (10), tanshinone-HA (11), isotanshinone -I (12), danshenxinkun B (13), danshenol C (14), isocryptotanshinone (15),] ,2-dihydroisodihydrotanshinone-I (16), isotanshinone-IIA (17), dihydrotanshinone-I (18), tanshinlactone ( 19), tanshinone-I (20), B-sitosterol (21), B-sitosterin-3-O-glucoside (22), danshenol-B (23), danshenspiroketallactone (24), ferruginol (25), benzenedicarboxylic acid debutyl ester (26), benzenedicarboxylic acid di (1,2-dimethy) ester (27), Epi-danshenspiroketallactone (28), danshenxinkun A (29), sapriolactone (30), 12-hydroxy-6 ,7-secoabieta-8, 11,13-trien-6 ,7-dial (31), 6a-hydroxysugiol (32), hypargeninB (33), wherein the compound (1) is a new compound, 15 for the first time from przewalskii sage. Compounds 16 and 17 screening serum-induced vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation inhibitory activity, inhibition rates were 50.93% and 50.09%.
