The study about the Sino-Mongol trade relations during the Ming Dynasty has been made fruitful achievements. I prepare to study this topic on the basis of the previous studies, Try to take advantage of various historical materials, such as Ming shih-lu, Local Records, Border Pictures, Files, Notes and so on. I have divided this thesis into three topics—the location of the markets, the regulations and administration, the goods bought and sold in the markets. I try to make a long period and multi regions study, then summarize the law of the Sino-Mongol trade relations and analyze the development and changes of the Sino-Mongol policies in the course of the study.This thesis is divided into three chapters except the introduction, although the topic of each chapter is different, they connect with each other. Chapter one:The development and changes of the Sino-Mongol trade relations during the Ming Dynasty. This chapter discuss the issue from the following four parts:the initial stage, the tortuous development stage, the prosperity stage and the weak stage. I have tried my best to discuss this issue as comprehensive as possible, including the setup time, the specific location, the reasons for the establishment, and the development of the markets. Except that, I also re-interpret and definite the various names of the Sino-Mongol trade through combine with historical materials and the previous studies. Chapter two:The main content and development of the Market management—take some regional markets for example, This chapter discuss the regulations and administration of the following horse fairs:LiaoDong horse fair, DaTong and XuanFu horse fairs, YanSui, NingXia and GanSu horse fairs. I also tried my best to discuss this issue as comprehensive as possible, including the character of the market building, the prices of the horses, the finance of the horse fair, the market periods, the market mangers, the tax and largess. Then compared the market regulations in different regions; Chapter three:The main commodities of the Sino-Mongol trade, this chapter, the main goods were divided into three categories—general, special and prohibited articles. I researched and analyzed these commodities in detail, Then concluded the commodities’nature and connotation on the basis of the analysis.
