Abstract


In cognitive science , metaphor is studied as a cognitive phenomenon . Cognitive scientists Lakoff and Johnson pointed out that metaphor in his book \Spatial concepts studied in this paper the concept of a cultural function , which plays an important role in human thinking activity. In the course of human evolution , space is interpreted as the environment , and to become a holistic understanding of space. This holistic space to accommodate the people who realize and see things around , there are all full of people and things in place . Cognitive linguists believe that in all metaphor , metaphor space environment has important implications for human concept formation . All our activities are carried out in the space environment , we can understand more abstract the psychological, intellectual, social and physical environment in areas such thing Metaphorical Cognition through space . The topics discussed by the theory , first expounded the concept of metaphor , conceptual framework under the metaphorical meaning and cognitive space environment , analyzing the characteristics of the space environment cognitive metaphor vocabulary and classification. Secondly , described by examples of Russian and Chinese space environment metaphorical meaning in terms of psychological , intellectual, social , physical and other areas , and comparative analysis of the Russian and Chinese space environment vocabulary metaphorical meaning similarities and differences. Through the study of this subject concluded that : Russian and Chinese space environment metaphorical significance of vocabulary is an important issue in cognitive linguistics metaphor research , this study expands the scope of Russian and Chinese Metaphor research.
