Abstract


With the application and popularization of computers , computer-aided examination by more and more research . In English teaching and testing , the use of computer-aided test system to test the students' English proficiency is a trend . This research abroad through computer-aided English examination system , pointing out that there are some problems on-site examinations and some improvements are possible : ( a ) existing systems support for exam questions , more or less rich enough, diversification ; ( 2 ) examination processes in a unified control examination system, the network outage failures not humane ; ( 3 ) most systems can not be cross-platform operation . To solve these problems and can be improved, authors proposed an English test site for computer-aided examination subsystem developed technical solutions to achieve the kinds of questions to support diversification reconnection site examinations and cross-platform system features . This paper analyzes these problems and propose solutions ; Then this site examinations conducted a needs analysis subsystem ; Finally, the design and implementation of the system based on demand , and one of the technical improvement program focuses on the implementation carried out . Improved on-site examinations subsystem can support the vast majority of the English exam questions , to meet the needs of English language teaching and testing ; proctored exam terminal end and reconnection between the examination process more humane ; through the cross-platform characteristics of research and implementation , the system can run on different operating systems , breaking the single platform restrictions.
