Abstract


A grammatical research of monograph is always regarded as the base of studying the grammar of Chinese, particularly to the modern Chinese adverbs. They are numerous, extensive, and interior complicated; also they are located in such a special place, which is between the ancient Chinese and the contemporary Chinese language. This thesis chooses the adverbs in Rongzhaisuibi as the investigation object, which was written by HongMai, a famous scholar of Nan Song. It is the first time to analyze its adverbs comprehensively.Rongzhaisuibi was a historical essay, which was written by HongMai, a famous scholar of Nan Song dynasty. Also it’s one of the most scholarly valuable essays in Nan Song dynasty. It contained valuations to historical events, valuations to historical people, textual research to historical materials, astronomy and calendar, research of products and so on. The comments in it are precise and appropriate, authentic and reliable, so it had an extensive in influence to the afterworld. On the point of view of linguistic, the ages of Rongzhaisuibi linguistically materials are clear and definite, the connotation of it is abundant, the types or forms of it is unique, above all, it’s a excellent study object of modern Chinese.On the basis of calculation of this thesis, there are 205 adverbs in Rongzhaisuibi, divide into 11 categories, each category owned its characteristic, from number, using frequency to grammatical collocations and semantic orientation. But we found that hereditability of adverbs system in Rongzhaisuibi is much obvious than development. After we compared the adverbs system in Rongzhaisuibi with The History of Song and JiNPingmeicihua in diachronic, also with Zhuzitulei in synchronic, then we come to a conclusion of the characteristic of adverbs in Rongzhaisuibi, that’s succinct, reactionary and modest.
