Abstract


The twenty-first century, the greenhouse gas emissions caused by the global warming problem has attracted increasing international attention. The international community try finding a rational balance between the economic development and environmental protection. Low-carbon economy appears in such an international backgrounds. Low-carbon economy is the goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, with low power consumption, low pollution, low emissions as the fundamental characteristics of a new model of economic development, it is considered as a great progress after the agricultural civilization and industrial civilization.Marx and Engels are concerned about human life and destiny of the future. Two hundred and sixty years ago, the two great men have told us how to handle the relationship between man and nature, forming a very rich ecological thought. Therefore, not only in the low carbon economy, under the guidance of Marxism to correctly handle the relationship between man and nature, global climate security of the inevitable choice of the transformation of economic growth, building a resource-saving and environment-friendly society, the general trend.In this paper, the principle of unity of theory and practice starting, is divided into four parts. The first part discusses the development of Marx and Engels of ecological thought and the intrinsic link low-carbon economy. The second part of the Chinese Communist Party Marx and Engels on the inheritance and development of ecological thinking, proposed the development of low-carbon economy is the construction of ecological civilization, and take the road of socialism with Chinese characteristics, the inevitable choice. The third part analyzes the various aspects of the status of the development of low-carbon economy. The fourth part of the close contact with the reality, has made a series of targeted policies and measures.
